The weekly top 5 playlist – 22 March – Late edition

Okay…okay…I know, it’s Tuesday. Unfortunately in the midst of intense Human Rights Day celebrations (I celebrated my right to sit on the couch and steadily work my way through season six of The Simpsons…intensely), I forgot about the good ol’ weekly playlist. So to cover up this frightful error, I’ve compiled a list of blues tracks that include the word ‘late’ in the lyrics…see what I did there? Here’s the GBP weekly playlist, late edition:

  1. Albert Collins – Love Me Like You Say
  2. Freddie King – It’s Too Late
  3. The Blues Brothers – Sweet Home Chicago (Originally by Robert Johnson)
  4. The Doobie Brothers – Long Train Runnin’
  5. Jimi Hendrix – All Along the Watchtower (originally by Bob Dylan)
